Teaching Philosophy
I believe that EVERY child can and will learn.  When given a structured and supportive environment, anything is possible.  I am from the school of thought that each child's academic progress should be handled individually, and that every child may not learn at the pace of another and each child's style of learning may be different.  Therefore, Mrs. Lewis and I introduce and teach through small groups.  We are constantly assessing, formally and informally, in order to reach the needs of each individual child.  I am always striving to keep the curriculum interesting and achievable.  We modify the curriculum frequently in order to meet the needs of every student, and we are always researching ways to improve and/or strengthen our lessons.
I also believe that one of the main reasons a child's school year is successful and meaningful is with teacher/parent communication.  I will strive to make you fully aware of your child's academic, social, and behavioral growth. Every aspect of a child's make-up should be taken into consideration when they are trying to be reached.
I only want to create a stronger and more knowledgeable kid - thanks for trusting me to do this!
